The Value of Information

Filed under: Uncategorized — revdrtut @ 9:26 pm

Did you know that every time a bat flies out of a cave it turns left?  Did you know that it is physically impossible for a pig to look up to the sky?  Does it make any difference if you know this information?  Information takes on value when it impacts life and its choices.  I suppose I now know where to hide a Christmas present from a pig, but I don’t really think that is a valuable fact.

God loves me.  He loves me through His Son Jesus Christ.  I believe that information to be true.  But is it valuable?  Does it change my life and the choices I make?  Yes,  in my case it does.  I make choices which I hope will demonstrate my love for Him.  I love God.  I love God through His Son Jesus Christ.  I choose to demonstrate that love through my choices.

God loves you.  God loves you through His Son Jesus Christ.  I believe that information is true.  Do you?  Is it valuable to you?  How would we know?

Rev.’s Ramblings

This year I have much to be thankful for.  A new Grandson:  Brady!  He is a great delight to my heart.  Thanksgiving is a matter of perspective.  All I have is from God.  Sometimes the Lord gives.  Sometimes the Lord takes away.  Can I praise His Name under both sets of circumstances?  If I understand He is working in both to bring about His eternal good in my life (as promised in Romans 8) it makes it easier.  Blessings, people, stuff that I might lose, that He might take, are still a wonderful part of the memories that make up my life.  Are the people lost to me or have they gone before me?  Will I see them again?  I believe through Jesus I will.  In the mean time I wait, and give thanks for the reunion yet to occur.

Thanksgiving will be great this year.  I give thanks for Brady who is a wonderful part of my present…and I hope my future!  But either way we have eternity together through Jesus and that is enough to cause my heart to sing!
